Thomas Darvell has been operating heavy equipment for more than 30 years. He has experience operating a wide variety of machinery, from logging to construction. After working in the logging industry for many years, Thomas took a job with Viesko Quality Concrete as the production foreman. He also mined all of the material from their quarry. After 12 years with Viesko, Thomas applied for a position at Siegmund Excavation with an interest in returning to logging. Instead, his extensive experience in equipment operation, coupled with his quarry experience made him the perfect fit for the position of quarry manager at Allied Rock. He began overseeing operations at Allied’s X-Rock Quarry in April, 2019.
Thomas grew up in Castle Rock, Washington. He later joined the U.S. Army, where he served for six years. He has three children and nine grandchildren, all of whom still live in Castle Rock. When he’s not loading trucks and running the show at the quarry, Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife and family. Working around his property also keeps him very busy.
